During my first semester in Spanish 3 we focused on the past tense a lot, especially in the preterite and imperfect conjugations. We started each day off with a starter activity. In our class we read Robo en la Noche and had a list of vocabulary words that we used and practiced for quizzes every once in awhile. We listened to songs that helped us remember the conjugations and others just for more Spanish practice. We ended our year with a party that was well earned by speaking Spanish for a certain amount of time during class each day. We also had group discussions on the book and group readings as well. At the end of the book we had to do a project on it. Since my class is very small we decided to do a "group therapy session" and each person played a character from the book and asked others questions on how they felt. We also had to make a video in smaller groups interrogating characters from the book about a crime that takes place in the story. Overall I would say this first semester was a success and that my Spanish has improved drastically.
