In this whole project we learned the use of past tense, preterit and imperfect. We used this to describe our famous persons life in the past tense. (considering that most of the people chosen were already deceased) To practice our speech we would say it to partners almost everyday and eventually memorize it.

In English: This project was about choosing an iconic Hispanic figure to study and tell their life story. I chose to tell the life of Selena Quintanilla, a Latina singer from Texas. To start this project, we watched a movie about Frida Kahlo and her life. Then we each got to pick our own people to research.

In Spanish: Este el proyecto fue sobre la eleccion la figura iconica de hispano. Le tuve que decir historias sobre su vida. Elegi a la historia de la vida de Selena Quintanilla. Ella era una cantante Latina de Texas. Para iniciar el proyecto, vimos una pelicula sobre Frida Kahlo y su vida. Entonces cada uno de nosotros escogio nuestro pueblo a la investigacion.

In this project we had to write three paragraphs in Spanish that describe us, our family and friends, and our favorite things. We were told that we would be sending these to pen pals in Mexico that also go to a project based school so we would also be sending portraits of things that represent us. In our portraits we had to write our letter in Spanish to memorize it and make it look like more than just a picture.
